

Program Goals & Eligibility
All Indigenous owned and operated community and commercial buildings, as well as Indigenous organizations that own their buildings (excluding single family homes), are eligible for the program until March 2027.

To empower Indigenous communities and organizations to advance deep energy retrofits in their facilities

To build capacity of Indigenous peoples through employment, education, training, and development

To develop more advanced asset and energy management processes and tools that enable Community success

To advance community prosperity through energy efficiency and energy retrofits, and to do so in a way that provides lasting and meaningful change in the community

Skills capacity growth through employment, training, and mentorship

Market capacity growth through presentations, webinars, white papers, and capstone projects

Energy benchmarking on the entire building portfolio, known as a decarbonization lite study

ASHRAE Level 2 energy audits on Indigenous community or organization owned buildings (excluding single family homes)

Full review of energy bills to ensure appropriate utility rate

Energy management software (JOBI) on the buildings that are audited

A custom engineering retrofit/engineering project for your highest retrofit need
